My name is Russell Manning. I am a 21 year old college student majoring in Political Science. Though some discount me based on age, I can usually hold my own against nearly anyone. I am active in my community, regularly attending my Civic League meetings, Norfolk City Council meetings, and other various public meetings. I have written at least one letter to almost every publicly elected official in Hampton Roads including those representing us in Richmond and DC. I do not take ignorance lightly. I back up everything I say with research, facts, and principle. Finally, I believe that America has many problems today. I think that the solution to these problems is not in legislation from Washington but from change right here in our own hometown. The power of the people is far greater than any law.
