I have had more than a few conversations and questions about light rail in Chesapeake. Back in July 1999, the area undertook a study for potential corridors for both Chesapeake and Portsmouth. I have uploaded the file from the study available here. I have also converted the Chesapeake routes into a Google earth file for [...]

I recently finished reading a book by David Rusk called “Cities without Suburbs.” I highly recommend this book to everyone. The book argues in support of regional cooperation and/or consolidation of suburbs with their historically central cities. This is a major and definitive move for Chesapeake, showing that they support a regional mass transportation system. A Greenbrier line connecting to Norfolk Naval Station would be a [...]

Before we talk about form-based zoning though, lets talk about conventional zoning.
Most people [...]

How is it that the news stations were able to call the results of the elections before 7PM? They close at 7. How do they know the results before they are reported? Are they basing their results solely on prior polls?
I think that a law should be passed that would make it illegal to report [...]

If the sex offender commented a felony then he has no rights to vote unless his rights have been restored. I believe the majority if not all crimes that cause a person to be on the sex offenders registry are classified as a felony. Please correct me if I am wrong.
